Is it bedtime yet?

I am so tired this morning. I’ve been having so much trouble sleeping lately, it was 3AM before I finally got to sleep last night. My alarm went off at 7 to go to the gym but I just rolled over and went back to sleep until 9, when I finally pulled my tired body from bed. I think I could have slept all morning if I wasn’t concerned with sleeping tonight!

Yesterday when I made my breakfast, I made two servings of banana oatbran and stuck the other in the fridge, so this morning I just popped that in the microwave with a splash of milk. I sprinkled a few (5 grams) toasted peanuts on top to add a bit of fat and hopefully hold me over a bit longer. Sorry, I took the photo before I decided on the nuts!

I’m going to try to get in a good hard workout today to tire me out for tonight, think it will help? I’m pretty sure my lack of sleep isn’t caused by lack of tiredness but I’m at the point where I’m getting desperate! I would never take anything to help me sleep though, not even herbal.

I forgot my camera :( With all the stuff I had to bring to school this afternoon, I forgot my camera. Here’s a recap:

Supper was Quinoa salad with beans and broccoli. It was just OK – something to fill the gap since I was in a huge hurry today.

Snack a bit later was vanilla yogurt with high fiber cereal and a few crushed peanuts. I usually eat plain yogurt, but I bought vanilla last night during my moment of ice cream-induced weaknes. It was tasty though and maybe I should eat it to satisfy my sweet tooth now and then instead of going on a huge sugar binge!


Breakfast to go

Good morning!

Ugh! After last nigh, I do not feel like eating this morning… so I’m not going to yet! For now, I’m sipping a large cup of white tea to get my system going. Hopefully in an hour or so I will start to feel hungry for breakfast so I can get on track.

I’m bringing my breakfast with me to school, so whenever I do feel like eating it will be there waiting for me. Today, I will try to eat more intuitively and stop when I’m full. Here’s my breakfast all packed up and ready to go:

Here’s what I packed:

-In the yogurt container is my version of muesli – 1 serving of plain fat free yogurt mixed with 20 grams of old fashioned oats. I left this mixture to sit in the fridge overnight to soften the oats and get all creamy.

-In the bag is 15 grams of toasted peanuts and 15 grams of high fiber cereal (not sure of the brand)

-In the travel mug is another cup of white tea. I drink this tea almost exclusively, but that’s mostly just because I had a huge box of it. My box is almost gone though, so I think I’ll ger some variety the next time I’m at the store :D

 

Next on the agenda is a fluid mechanics class, followed by computer science lab, the gym (swim, run or bike… that is the question!) , then home for lunch, sociology paper, back to school for mechanics class… you get the picture! I’ll try to blog lunch sometime in there :)
